If he have no slots left in his current Motherboard. just buy a new one and get some more RAM. You dont need to buy a whole new server for that -.-

No I meant the basics of a computer; motherboard, hard drive, RAM, processor etc.

We could upgrade the server but thats hopeless, we change a 40$ server to a 175$ server. Single to dual core, 512mb ram to 4gig ram. Acording to the portal page the server is online but whenever i try to connect it says "this user name is already log in on the server is under going maintance" anyone else getting this problem?
