True, but it'd be annoying to have to manually restart the server every hour or so.

There are no "special requierd parts" for a server. Difference between a server is how the OS is built. You still got the same stuff in it. CPU, RAM, Motherboard, and lots of lots of HDD's (no, graphiccard aint nessesary). So what he basicly needs to do is to buy more RAM. If he have no slots left in his current Motherboard. just buy a new one and get some more RAM. You dont need to buy a whole new server for that -.-
